Does UConn have any chance with 6-9 PF Julius Randle out of Dallas, TX? From what I've read, he's a real gamechanger, plays hard all the time, rebounds and scores in any and all ways. Is UConn recruiting him at all or is he almost certainly staying in the south or midwest?

Not really. They are recruiting Jabari Parker though. He's the same type of player

UPDATED!!! UConn interested in Shabazz Muhammad's little brother Rashad.

UPDATE UConn is expressing interest in 2013 PG Jaylen Brantley. He is the point gaurd for BABC. He is a great 3pt shooter but needs to finish at the rim more. He reminds me of Shabazz Napier.

He says UConn is recruiting him hardest right now. He has visited a few time since his mother lives in Connecticut. UConn should be a player with him at crunch time.

Per Rashad.... Kevin Ollie contacted him today and they spoke for a few minutes. So seems to be some strong interest for him from UCONN!

I've seen him play in person numerous times, and I'm not impressed. Xavier needs to be on that list.

XRM just spoke to Jim Calhoun. They will be in to watch him play soon!

XRM says that coach Ollie will be out to watch him play in a game this week. (Thursday)

XRM texted saying: "Ollie just called me and will be at practice tonight." And later he said: "I played well!"

UConn is really pushing hard for XRM and I really think that we are in GREAT position with him. He is a nice combo guard who's dad is currently living in New Haven.

2013 5'10 PG Stevie Clark claims offers from UConn, Marquette, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State and Vanderbilt. I think UConn's showing some strong interest of late.

2013 6'9 230 lbs PF/C Akoy Agau says UConn is his dream school. He has offers from Xavier, Marquette, UNLV, Oregon and Tennessee to name a few

Dream school, huh? It's sure make recruiting easier if everyone thought like that.

It has been made clear. They are recruiting many hard. UConn calls Rathan-Mayes everyday, but Allerik Freeman's coach told me they call regarding Allerik a few times a week. Jaylen Brantley is also being recruited as well as Stevie Clarke. The staff also likes what they see in Tyler Ennis and an offer has been set. In the end, I believe Rathan-Mayes will be a Husky
