Terrence Samuel Commits To UConn
After a few weeks of the anticipation, it is official that Terrence Samuel has committed to UConn. Samuel had scheduled a visit to UConn a few weeks ago, but decided to reschedule it to August 24th, and make it an official visit. Despite not taking the first initial planned visit, Samuel knew that UConn was the right place for him to be and he decided to pledge to the Huskies today.
Joining his good friend, fellow Jamaican and AAU teammate Kentan Facey for UConn's class of 2013, Terrence is ecstatic to be the newest member of UConn's team. Samuel ultimately chose UConn over Rhode Island, who's campus he was on for an unofficial visit yesterday.
Terrence joins the chain of UConn's NYC guard products over the years. Standing at 6-foot-3 and 185 pounds, Samuel will be provide and add strength and skill to UConn's back-court for UConn's 2013-2014 season.
"I discussed it with my family, and the academics and great basketball program was too good to turn down."
Samuel is very excited to be a Husky.
"I feel great right now and I'm just going to keep working at South Shore."
Other UConn committee, Kentan Facey called Samuel right after UConn Ball broke the news.
Ultimately, Terrence Samuel committed to UConn today because his parents "said it was time to get it over with."
Terrence is our good friend here at UConn Ball, and expect us to have the latest on him and his future, as we follow him closely throughout his career.
